Fullbore, also known as target rifle or TR, is sling-supported iron-sight target shooting fired at long range. Shooters work from a stable prone position and engage distant targets without any magnified optic, so success comes down to precise sight alignment, wind reading, and a repeatable hold. The discipline has a deep international tradition and a strict, refined set of conventions.

Because it forbids optics, fullbore relies on iron sights and a tightly adjusted sling to lock the rifle into the body. It is the discipline family that includes Palma, and the demanding scoring at long distance pushes competitors toward match grade rifles, barrels, and ammunition.
