Group
A cluster of shots fired at one aiming point. Group size measures how tightly the rifle and load print, usually in inches or MOA.
A 5-shot group is the precision-shooting standard for meaningful accuracy data. 3-shot groups undercount the load’s true cone of dispersion. 10-shot groups show variance more honestly than 5.
Measure group size center-to-center between the two farthest holes. A “sub-MOA rifle” puts 5 shots inside a 1-MOA circle (1.047 inches at 100 yards) consistently, not on a lucky string.
