Bore Snake
Also: Pull-Through
A one-piece pull-through cleaning cord with an integrated brush and absorbent body, used for a quick bore wipe between strings or in the field.
A bore snake is a long cord you drop through the bore from breech to muzzle and pull through in one stroke. A brass weight on a leader line carries it through, a short brush section scrubs, and the braided body behind it wipes fouling and carries solvent. One or two passes give a fast field clean without a rod and patches.
It is a convenience tool, not a substitute for a careful rod-and-jag cleaning when you want to strip copper and carbon completely. Run it breech to muzzle to protect the crown, and remember that a freshly stripped bore throws its first shots differently, the cold clean bore effect.
